Hand engraving techniques include Italian-style palm pushing where "bulino" tools are fashioned for ultra-fine detail. Photo-realistic vignettes and exhibition grade ornamental detail can be achieved with the bulino technique. Pneumatic air gravers are also utilized for low and high relief engraving.
